Trevor Ford - Managing Director, MA in Coaching and Mentoring, BA (Hons) Graphic Design & Diploma, Performance Coach.
Trevor’s background started in the advertising industry as a copywriter in 1987. He enjoyed a brief but successful spell, working with clients such as Virgin CBS Fox, BT and securing millions of pounds of new business.
After some time working freelance as copywriter and an illustrator. Trevor embarked on a teaching career in 1995. This was to be his’ true’ calling. Working initially in Further Education colleges such as Milton Keynes, Barnfield Luton and Dunstable, Trevor found that his facilitative, coaching/mentoring approach garnered more results and improved performance far more significantly than the old fashioned ‘tell’ style of teaching. Little did he know that his experience were to prove the building blocks for his coaching style. In 2000, he later went onto becoming a Business English Trainer in Germany working at executive level for multinationals such as such as Abbot Pharmaceuticals, KHS and Lufthansa.
When he returned to the UK in 2002, Trevor working in various schools teaching, coaching and mentoring role. Also, one of his biggest passions is martial arts. Trevor founded Itsu Shotokan Karate Club in 2003. His karate behavioural management programme has proved successful in several Northamptonshire schools.
Trevor has a life long interest in self-development, hence his interest in karate, yoga and meditation. He is currently studying his MA in Coaching and Mentoring at University of Wolverhampton.
